My aim is to try to capture the essence of the animal - its personality, emotion and movement.
It's not an anatomically correct figure that I am trying to achieve – it's about the essence of the animal and the expressive nature of the animals.
The pieces are a representation of my ink drawings in ceramics, which is the type of finish I'm looking for from the oxides and stains.
